No. ExcessList is free to use. Buyers can search and message sellers at no cost, and sellers can list single items or bulk upload inventory without paying any listing fees.
How do saved searches work?
You can save any search you run and choose to receive email or text alerts when new listings match your criteria. This helps you stay ahead of fresh inventory without checking the site every day.
Can I message buyers or sellers directly?
Yes. ExcessList includes a built-in messaging system that lets you ask questions, share details, negotiate terms, and keep conversations organized. All messages stay inside your account for easy tracking.
How do I list multiple items at once?
Sellers can upload listings one at a time or use the bulk import tool to add large groups of products. The system guides you through the required fields and helps you get everything posted quickly.
Are my listings visible to search engines?
Yes. Your listings can be found by both registered buyers and search engines. This helps increase visibility for your products and gives you a better chance of connecting with interested buyers.
Do buyers and sellers complete the transaction on the site?
No. ExcessList helps you connect and communicate, but the final transaction is completed off the platform. You can work directly with the other party and use services like Escrow.com if you want added security.
How do I manage my listings after they are posted?
You can edit, update, or remove listings anytime from the Manage My Listings page. Sellers also have access to data like listing counts and profile details to keep everything organized.
What kinds of products can I list on ExcessList?
ExcessList supports a wide range of excess inventory, including components, hardware, electronics, contract-manufactured goods, and more. If it is legitimate, safe, and belongs to you, you can list it.
How do I block or unblock another user?
If you need to stop communication with someone, you can block them from their profile or inside a conversation. You can unblock them later if you want to resume contact.
